A corner in “Little Italy”, a restaurant, tables on the street. Naples, in memory and in colors. The windows covered with the soft sheets that cover tufts of cotton. Remembering is like a matter that is gently caressed when we sit at a bar table and let the thoughts roam free.

The “NYC Shift, 1987” series is a collection of manual collages from photographs of a book found in a used bookstore, in the city where I live. Geometric cutouts made directly on the pages, compositions with the minimum to reach the maximum power, using few digital retouches.

... Uma esquina na “Pequena Itália”, um restaurante, mesas na rua. Nápoles, na memória e nas cores. As janelas recobertas com as folhas macias que cobrem tufos de algodão. Lembrar é como uma matéria que se afaga gentilmente ao sentar em uma mesa de bar e se deixa o pensamento passear livre.

A série “NYC Shift, 1987” é uma coleção de colagens manuais a partir de fotografias de um livro encontrado em um sebo, na cidade onde vivo. Recortes geométricos feitos diretamente sobre as páginas, composições com o mínimo para se atingir o máximo de potência, usando poucos retoques digitais.
