NTRVL BASIC is a composition divided into sixteen same-sized squares.

The shortest beat is 1 frame long, black or white. The increments increase gradually (number of frames per beat) from 1 frame to 25 frames and back to 2 frames (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, …, 23, 24, 25, 24, 23,…, 5, 4, 3, 2), per one black frame and per one white, starting again with 1 frame. Forming a perfect loop of 1295 frames, or 00:00:51:20.
