Three Monkeys is a stable symbolic artistic composition that includes images of three monkeys, one of which covers the eyes with its paws, the second with its ears, and the third with its mouth. The three monkeys motif was often used in Japanese decorative and applied art (in netsuke trinkets and okimono figurines) and painting.
