Create for Combine24, a generative art competition by the Finnish National Gallery. Upon looking through the gallery of public domain work, I cam across a simple sketch of Niagara Falls by Hugo Simberg. I actually live about 10 minutes from "The Falls" as we call it. I have photographed it many times and have a strong connection with the incredible waterfall. Using p5.js code, I took the image and began to remix it using predefined color palettes and randomly drawn shapes to emulate the movement of the water and create a new piece of generative art.
