Description

Amongst the remains was a laminated document that had the words of the then Sardauna of Sokoto Al-Haji Sir Ahmadu Bello a Nigerian politician, who was the first premier of the Northern Nigeria region from 1954-1966. He is considered to be a founding father of the modern Nigerian nation-state, which was formed on October 1, 1960, when Bello's NPC forged an alliance with Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe's NCNC (National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons) to form Nigeria's first indigenous federal government which led to independence from Britain.

NB. If everywhere in this document the word north is replaced with Nigeria, you would understand how timeless this speech is and how everything outlined can still be related to the modern-day Nigeria.
