Part of the 'Natural Reflections' series, this work is informed by my educational experience in both Biology and the Visual Arts. It brings together two elements of interest: my curiosity and admiration towards the complexity of our universe and my desire for symmetrical beauty. This dual interest mirrors the link between opposites such as micro versus macro, day versus night, natural versus synthetic. I use layering and transparency to bring opposites together into my work. My practice often explores notions of existentialism and the meaning of life.
