The "native flora" series [1] is created by repeatedly sampling from an L-system [2] that I implemented in R by writing the flametree package [3]. I'm very fond of this system: the pieces it creates tend to be quite gentle, and remind me of an earlier stage in my life when I spent a lot of my time gardening.
