In autocratic societies, the stifling of creativity and innovation, rigid enforcement of traditionalism, and suppression of diverse opinions lead to cultural decay, societal stagnation, and a regression into the past.

This painting also contains references to previous and subsequent paintings. In particular, a broom is depicted here - the main character of the previous painting. It symbolizes repression both here and in the previous painting. Stars are also used here as a symbol of the regime. This and other symbols will be used in other paintings of the series. I also want to note that the girl's unstable posture symbolizes a society on the brink, her instability is not accidental.
