Can the feeling and strength of a relationship be conveyed solely through hands?
That was the question I pondered as I embarked on this project. As complex beings, we often struggle to express and demonstrate the value someone holds in our lives.
“Mother and Daughter” is the answer to that question. Through these photographs filled with expressiveness and power, I seek to capture the essence of our bond. With this series, I have aimed to convey the unconditional love, unbreakable union, deep respect, absolute trust, unwavering strength, and unwavering constancy of my mother.
She is a woman who has fought all her life against chronic rheumatoid arthritis, a disease that progresses relentlessly, limiting her mobility day by day. However, this has not prevented her from teaching me to keep fighting for my dreams and goals.
This series is a tribute to her. With only our hands portrayed in black and white, I have laid bare the essence of this wonderful human being who inspires me and is the greatest driving force in my life.
Through this work, I also want to highlight the reality of our society and the treatment our elders receive. They, who have given their all throughout their lives, are relegated to oblivion, as if they were no longer "useful machines". We abandon them like rusty objects, forgetting that they still possess an infinite strength and invaluable wisdom from which we still have much to learn.

¿Se puede transmitir solo con las manos el sentir y la fuerza en una relación?
Esa fue la pregunta que me planteé al comenzar en este proyecto. Como seres complejos, a menudo nos cuesta expresar y demostrar el valor que alguien tiene en nuestras vidas.
“Madre e hija” es la respuesta a esa incógnita. A través de estas fotografías llenas de expresividad y fuerza, busco plasmar la esencia de nuestro vínculo. Con esta serie, he querido transmitir el amor incondicional, la unión inquebrantable, el respeto profundo, la confianza absoluta, la fuerza inquebrantable y la constancia inalterable de mi madre.
Ella es una mujer que ha luchado toda su vida contra la artritis reumatoide crónica deformante, una enfermedad que avanza sin piedad, día a día, limitando su movilidad. Sin embargo, esto no ha sido impedimento para que me enseñe a seguir luchando por mis sueños y metas.
Esta serie es un homenaje a ella. Solo con nuestras manos retratadas en blanco y negro, he desnudado la esencia de este maravilloso ser humano que me inspira y es el motor más grande de mi vida.
A través de esta obra, también quiero destacar la realidad de nuestra sociedad y el trato que reciben nuestros mayores. Ellos, quienes dieron todo a lo largo de su vida, son relegados al olvido, como si ya no fueran "máquinas útiles". Los abandonamos como objetos oxidados, olvidando que aún poseen una fuerza infinita y una sabiduría invaluable de la que aún tenemos mucho que aprender.
