Inhale. Exhale. Our mind is capable of the best and the worst. It can make us happy or take us to hideous places of anxiety and fear. Learning to control it is not easy. To stay here and now. To focus on the breath. To keep the mind blank. Beginners and even advanced meditators struggle through those techniques to preserve the new calm, quiet state in which the mind slowly sinks. Among this peace, a little fugitive thought appears and rises, gentle and soft. And then another one, even many of them. They soar and fade, like delicate soap bubbles, utterly free through so much empty space in our consciousness, like never before. Despite these human errors in our way to Vipassana, this is a glorious experience in which our thought talks to us in a bubble state of mind.
