today the voices are silent there is a curious stillness in my mind the stained hands and my frayed paint brushes are waiting to speak a thousand words, yet all there is an emptiness, a numbing stillness that envelopes everything in me. today I will drown in my silence and slumber in her arms, today let me dream in the colours of the forest the earthy brown and the vibrant green, today let me revel in the sounds of birds and the fragrance of wild flowers, today let me sleep finding comfort in this strange dream that seems almost real today let me be free and finally seek my oblivion in the haunting stillness of the wild today let me just finally breathe today, just let me be just let me.
