When I started to paint this picture, I thought about the fact that the theme of space and space itself has always been for me a symbol of the mysterious, the unexplored, the distant. Our brain is also unexplored and mysterious, isn't it? Science still doesn't really understand how it works and why. That's how the idea for this painting came about.
