The beginning of life rarely arrives as a whole. It comes in pieces fragments of memory, shards of emotion, and scattered meanings caught between light and shadow.

In this work, the innocent face of an infant emerges as a symbol of birth, yet is immediately encircled by the coils of a serpent: a sign of time, threat, and inevitable mystery. The falling puzzle pieces mark how human identity is never complete always fractured, always searching for what is missing.

The intertwining purple roots and exposed bones around it create a stark contrast: between growth and decay, softness and brutality. All become a metaphor that the start of life is not wholeness, but fragments the very first souvenir we carry into this world.
