Selected as one of the winning submissions for the Palm Academy workshop on Sculpting a Digital Identity by Empress Trash.

The self-portrait is comprised of an audio and a visual representation of the artist. The visual is a stop-motion construction and deconstruction of a Lego self-portrait. The music is mapped from extracts of my autosomal DNA sequence, the actual building blocks or algorithm I am created from. In the 'live' Pure Data version of the composition the notes are generated from the DNA sequences, but the rhythms are built from random structures, so the results are slightly different each time. I set these melodies against a heart-beat like kick drum pattern in Pure Data to reiterate the human component of the project. I added an audio capture of one iteration of this music into the video project.
