In this piece, I hoped to illustrate the power certain people and even situations can have over us. These are represented as anonymous hands because it is often difficult to see these people or situations for what they truly are and how much they influence us.

The green hue depicts their aura which they slowly infuse into us, often through rotten sweetness of their words, in vanity-fuelled attempt to paint us according to their palette. It’s difficult to see how one can release themselves from the comforting familiarity of these cold hands, but I believe if one could rescue themselves from their gaze, the rest could follow with ease.
