Description

Created in partnership with Charles H. Wright Museum for the 38th annual African World Festival, Electrifly wrapped one of the most iconic buildings in Detroit - The Michigan Central Station - with art by four prominent Black Detroit artists: Armageddon Beachparty, Bre'Ann White, Hubert Massey, Sheefy McFly.

“Crossroad of Innovation” by Hubert Massey depicts a robotic arm shining light on the globe in the center of the piece, with gears representing technology, and the light representing innovation. An indigenous woman and her child point towards Canada while the people beneath her guide their way through the last stop on the underground railroad, the Detroit River.

Massey trained under the famed Diego Rivera and is one of the only African-American Fresco painters, using the ancient techniques to create monumental art pieces that can last thousands of years.

This is Hubert Massey’s first NFT.
