When the sun dips below the horizon as dusk takes the night, the moments of silence echo across the mirror of the desert. These moments feel more like a lucid dream than reality. As the day closes out, dreams come closer to the surface. I reach out my hand in hope to hold onto the last light of the day. I hold my breath as I get lost in my thoughts. Night hugs me tightly as this world changes before my eyes.
