We, human beings, have a strong tendency to draw lines. It's deeply engraved in our DNAs ever since human civilization began to emerge around agriculture, drawing lines to divide up farm plots. Country borders, land registration maps, and architectural walls are a few examples of the lines we have been drawing for thousands of years. They are vital because they create order from chaos and necessary hierarchies, but can act against us when they become too absolute, generating disunity, immobility, and discrimination.
