"Before You, Before Me" is an audio-visual collaboration between Homa Vasiee and moby (mobius sea). The piece blends Homa's calligraphy painting with a photo of sunflower petals by moby and is inspired by moby's poem "First Rain."

In Homa's calligraphy piece are the words "You" and "I," written as if in a dance, falling blues and yellow light, a melding of sadness and hope as the two come into unison in the rain. The "you" and "I" meld, in the time before you, before me.

The rain animation is physically created by Homa and recorded on video. The poem is read by moby.

before you, before me so distant in a room that was yesterday, flowing in her flower dress making the sky cry, the one I dreamed of, the one who dreamed me, the pause in my breathing
