Samuel L. Jackson is an American actor and film producer. He was born on December 21, 1948, in Washington, D.C., United States. Jackson is known for his distinctive voice, intense performances, and versatility as an actor.

Jackson's career began in the 1970s when he appeared in several stage plays, including the original production of "The Piano Lesson" by August Wilson. He made his film debut in the blaxploitation movie "Together for Days" (1972). However, it was his collaboration with director Spike Lee that helped launch his career.
