Taken on the first evening of a wild camp with my teenage son, this solitary tree was close to our campsite and chosen for it's remoteness. Using a long lens has the effect of compressing the scene but also cropping in on the subject. Dartmoor's landscape can be difficult to photograph so I am always keen to train the lens on subjects like this. We'd had our evening meal around the stove then literally took 4 steps away from the tent to capture the last light here. Good times I will cherish and looking back at this image will always remind me of our time together.
