Stelcart’s practice comments on the female condition, so often layered with pressures of motherhood, domestic chores, career and family. In this particular piece, her characters who spin and slide, are bombarded by a rain of phones and eyes, representing the social anxiety caused by screen-time addiction. Viewers are swept into her dreamscape, which carries with it the darkly satirical undertone of a nightmare.
