It’s the year 3000. It's your generic dystopian future, barren cities, destroyed climate, limited resources and of course corrupt figures of power. However, there is one difference. Around the globe strange time distortion zones started appearing. These distortion zones somehow alter the very fabric of time in that area. You could safely enter one and find yourself standing in a medieval crop field overlooking a futuristic cityscape. Scientists gave these zones a long-winded scientific name but the general populace started to refer to them simply as Koyos. Like everything in this world, Koyos were quickly monetised as people started to organise battle royale tournaments inside them. These tournaments were seen as a great way to solve the overpopulation problem the planet was still facing and who is going to complain about that corrupt system when they can watch a person in a samurai suit cut down opponents with a light sword (no not one of them, we ain’t Disney) and win big prizes.
