The name KÖNST is derived from the Swedish word "Konst" which translates to "Art". The letter Ö is a letter specific to the Swedish language which in this case produces a somewhat comical pronunciation.

Historically, the word Könst has been used as a way to belittle simple 3D renders without greater meaning.
