Aisna, or "Divine," often incorrectly called Companions by foreigners, are a special class of citizens within Seylan society. Aisna are chosen at a very young age for their beauty, intelligence, empathy, and grace. They can be either men or women. They are then raised and trained within an Aisna Tamera, or "Divine Temple," often incorrectly referred to as a Companion Household by foreigners. Aisna training includes everything from art, to seduction, mathematics, politics, combat, and a myriad of other skills.
