Impression, Sunrise, 1872, Digital Proof

FREQ, 2026
Description

In 1872, Claude Monet painted the harbour of Le Havre at dawn and called it Impression, Sunrise. When it was shown in Paris in 1874, a critic mocked it and called the artists “Impressionists” as an insult. They adopted the name, and a movement was born. The painting once sold for just 210 francs. Today it hangs in the Musée Marmottan Monet in Paris, considered one of the most important paintings in Western art and truly priceless. Digital Proof — Ten editions, numbered 1/10 to 10/10.
