1st piece in Triptych "Darkness in my life"

We spinning in the dance of light and darkness all our lives. We always have a choice... To avoid, to submit, or to conquer it. And the decision is only ours... What will be yours?

Avoiding the Darkness I feel the darkness so often. Feeling how it beckons me, how it plays with me. It's literally pulling me in and consuming me. It is so attractive and frightening at the same time. Did I create it? Or did this darkness exist before me? Something dark and deep pulls me in, and I resist so hard. I try to break free from its grip, to save my light and not give in to it. I fight it, and I spend all my strength on it. I don't want it to consume me. I'm afraid to even look at it. I'm terrified just to know what lurks within it. What will happen when I have no more strength left to stand against? What will happen to me? To my light?
