Patternal is a word I came up with after creating this specific artwork. As a costume designer, I've always found patterns very inspiring. They reminded me in a way, how we beings intended to create and leave; shapes, lines, and colors throughout history such as footsteps and fingerprints...so I decided to create my own fingerprint...
