This collage was created in Procreate using nine layers. The knot in the background is a geometric form I designed in 2021, which later became my signature appearing both in my physical mirror artworks and throughout my NFT work as a personal visual signature.I wrapped my own human form in a delicate, rose gold silk band and transformed myself into a skeleton. The band circles my body and gathers into a knot around my waist, while its ends extend toward my hands. I intentionally leave the gesture unresolved. It is not clear whether I am trying to tighten the knot or release it. For me, this uncertainty is the heart of the work. Sometimes I create the things that hold me, and sometimes I find myself trying to understand how to loosen them.I used the geometric structure behind the figure as part of my visual language.
The Uncertain Knot is my reflection on attachment, tension, and the things I create around myself things that may either connect me or keep me bound.
