Sometimes you need to dig into the past with help to heal the trauma.

For Therapy Sessions the inspiration came from this idea of deep seated trauma, of the journey towards healing from trauma. I wanted to create something that felt visceral and uncomfortable and dug into the heart of this topic. To reflect the dysphoric feelings that deep introspection can sometimes cause.

I wanted to create a piece that was a loop, a cycle that repeated imperfectly. The first cycle ends back at where it started, but the second cycle is guided by the voice, and this one finds some catharsis, but ultimately ends up back at the start again.

The idea being that these processes are ongoing, you need to go through them over and over to find peace.

I generated the assets using midjourney and then animated them with runwayML2, I then further edited and animated them through Adobe Premiere. I designed the sound to enhance the visceral experience of viewing this piece.
