Each seed grows a forest that has never existed and will never exist again — its own hour of light between dawn and dusk, its own depth of mist, its own rays falling through the canopy. Some mornings are clear, some evenings are drowned in fog; sometimes pale trunks of alder stand among the shadows. Same forest family, never the same forest. Traits: daylight, mist, light rays, depth layers, density, pale trunks. Each hash paints its own landscape, back to front, layer by layer: mountains, mist, canopy, trees, undergrowth, and — last of all — a single sprout, uncurling.
