Inspired by the movie of Tarkovskiy "Nostalgia" where the main protagonist travels to Italy to study the life of Russian composer who commited suicide there, however after staying there for a while he starts to understand that he feels homesick for Russia and cannot stay there any longer. The same feeling overtook me as well when I came to Rome to study Art. Everything seemed a complete disaster for me. Everybody was a stranger carrying their own mind and traditions. I felt that I couldn't fit in, but Italian culture somehow occupied my soul and mixed there with my Russian past. So I tried to illustrate what was happening to me and how I changed.
