An initial image was painted in Krita, then processed with AI in SDXL to create the main image. Text/numerical characters were generated in Dall-E 3 and then brought over to Krita to add the gold texture, bevels and shadows, and to assemble.

In Post-Consumerist art, the relationship of the characters to letters or numbers from any existing language is purely aesthetic, as the message is in the arrangement and juxtaposition with other elements in the work. In this piece, the characters take on elements of commercial art, while selling nothing except the main image beneath them. Their positioning draws the eye to the skeleton, who seems to look past it all with indifference. The grey hooded, skeletal figure represents both our looming mortality and the ambiguity of the decisions we often are faced with while navigating life, love, work, money, death, taxes, and art.
