I made the first experiments for GOSPO about a year ago. After a long process of returning to it, making changes, and developing it at intervals, I’m excited to finally release the project on Verse.

GOSPO is a generative algorithm that creates visuals through pixel displacement. The system operates through movement and deformation driven by eight different randomized values. While these values determine the structure, motion, and transformation of the image, one color variable is intentionally left outside my control.

This uncontrolled variable prevents the algorithm from becoming entirely predictable. It sometimes creates unexpected color relationships that work in harmony with the structure, and at other times disrupt it. For me, this small loss of control is an important part of GOSPO.

Each output captures a different state of the relationship between movement, color, and displacement. The collection consists of 88 unique generative artworks, produced across three aspect ratios: 1:1, 16:9, and 9:16.
