'Going it Alone' is a collection of nine 1/1's taken on the same roll of film early in my career as a film photographer.
This collection documents my journey to Alaska alone as well as a journey towards inner healing. This journey was full of extremes and hard lessons as I learned to process buried emotions that came up along the way and also celebrate my new beginning in Alaska.
Creating this collection enabled me to unearth, process, and heal from the emotion attached to each image, as well as reflect on my journey as a film photographer.
'Going it Alone' was photographed in Niitsítapi, Ktunaxa, Stoney, Tsuu T'ina, Métis, Yukon, and Tlingit Indigenous Lands, also known as Alberta, British Columbia, and Yukon of Canada and Alaska of the United States. My total journey encompassed roughly 2,250 miles.
