BETH Girls Singing In The Wreckage 2100 x 3300 px

Girls Singing In The Wreckage is a collage series blending the poetic nostalgia of singers, cabaret performers with post-modern world objects, torn posters, newspapers and rusted machines. Evoking a sense of lost melancholia and its own enchanting narrative, the collection is a tribute to all the artists out there who never give up singing and creating no matter what happens. The title itself is a reference to a song by Black Box Recorder.

Mixing collage and painting techniques together, Girls Singing In The Wreckage is an ode to lost singers, little sparrows of the past in a decaying world. Creating a texture rich in colors & depth; hope and broken dreams meet at the same canvas. Each entry in the series features a different character, peeling off their beauty into an evanescently elegant portrait.

Beth is the second installment in the series.
