Genuary is a month of daily prompts for generative artists. Usually artists implement these prompts with code, but in 2024 I decided to create all Genuary prompts with AI, turning the event into Gen-AI-uary. This collection is one of the 31 artworks I created in January 2024.

The prompt for Jan. 27, 2024 was: "Code for one hour. At the one hour mark, you're done."

As requested by the prompt, I initially worked on this project for one hour. However, I subsequently put in a little more work, primarily to add a few prompt variations so this work could be released in long form. There are two features, Lighting and Subject, and for each I introduced a few alternative prompts in addition to the original one I used on Jan. 27. I also optimized the upscaling algorithm, taking advantage of a new upscaler that EmProps has since made available. But fundamentally, this collection reflects my Jan. 27 work.
