On Good Friday I always take a moment or two to reflect on religion, my upbringing as a Roman Catholic, and my distrust of all organized religions in general. A higher power lives within us all and I personally think anyone telling me how to worship that power is bonkers.

We all have the power to create, destroy, make life, take life, be good or evil; the benefit of being born with a free will. We get to choose.

It is said, God made us in his/her/its image, so we are all godlike and can do great, amazing & terrible things.

Love yourself, each other and especially those you disagree with because they need our compassion most.

I have a hard time following this advice.
