Seer was created in response to the passing of my childhood cat. The term 'seer' refers to someone with profound insight who perceives the past, present, and future. I wanted to invoke this idea and create a piece that compositionally looks over my cat. I used ethereal imagery and techniques to express my feelings, such as caustics, which involve the reflection and refraction of light to create intricate, shimmering patterns. This method gave the artwork a dreamlike quality, symbolizing the fleeting and fragile nature of life and memory.

Animated light streaks flowing around my cat and the central character further enhance the ethereal quality and symbolize my cat’s enduring presence and influence in my life. I also included stationary objects on the floor within the composition, representing how I use art to express my emotions. This arrangement of elements imbues the piece with elements of the past, present, and future.
