Participation for the GIF artworks 'Jiggling Golems' -The Art of Gif Portraits Exhibition . Filmed with GoPro video camera on modified chair and edited in Video and GIF Animation softwares.
Jiggling Golems explored the cinematic qualities of the GIF medium, the narrative potential of very short moving images and their semiotics. In the context of the Festival for Silent Film Culture, the GIF art exhibition expanded the silent film format in the networked digital space. The project was realised as an ‘immaterial’ exhibition in html format, hosted within the open-source local networking toolkit ‘Piratebox’ and traveling along the venues. The audience could access the exhibition only on-site through their mobile devices. Actor: Antonis T. Info about artist: Antonis T. photographer and multimedia experimental artist from Athens, Greece. Studied cinema Hellenic Cinema and Television School Stavrakos about filmmaking, photography and history of art. For many years he has been active in the photography, music production, digital stencil painting and experimental videography. In the last years he has been creating photographic works with old analog cameras combined with expired or experimental film, as well as experimental digital photography with a custom android app he created himself. Antonis T. has participated in many personal and group exhibitions in Greece, but also in international ones such as Jiggling Golems 2015 under the auspices of the Goethe Institute. A part of him has to do with composing music. There are many personal music releases and participation in other bands.
