Description

Friendly Fire is a collaboration between aigardening and stusontier, exploring the legacy, contemporary relevance, and future implications of nuclear-origin radiation. The threat of nuclear weapons entangles imperialism, environment, technology, and military power.

Friendly Fire began, and continues to evolve, as a series of digital zines, enabling the artists to continue collaborating from different hemispheres. The project now includes both physical and digital works along with a website at https://friendly-fire.net.

The first zine - Friendly Fire #1 - is released digitally on 6th August 2025, marking 80 years since the nuclear weapons attack on Hiroshima in 1945 which killed at least 140,000 people.
