There is probably a knife throwing scene in every shooting about a circus. But I couldn't do without this plot. The first thing I wrote about the character of the circus director: a psychopath and a tyrant. The style of clothing is a reference to the images of Galliano, cabaret of the 30s. I was inspired by the films "The Damned" by Visconti, and "The Night Porter" by Cavani.
