This piece is part of Foundry, an ongoing collection of my most experimental oil painting work. During the painting process, I try to find new ways to disrupt the viewer’s perception while preserving the essence of an image.

In the context of portrait painting, I’m focused on the subject’s emotional state and the message communicated from each face that would otherwise go unnoticed.
