"Now you will see them better, even in the darkness." —Thomas Ligotti, 'Flowers of the Abyss'
Two modified versions of the Gumowski/Mira strange attractor map produce overlapping chaotic paths. Whilst rendering, an image forms over either a textured background. Each frame draws eight-thousand, one-hundred and ninety-two iterations of the attractors, then slightly-altered seed values are taken and the process begins again.
After a further ninety-five frames, a full seventy hundred and eighty-six thousand, four-hundred and thirty-two points have been rendered to the canvas, and the piece is complete. That's a lot of calculations, so patience is rewarded as the image forms.
At any time during the rendering process, a high-resolution version can be saved by pressing 'S'.
