Figura is a generative electronic composition. A group of four oscillators mutually modulate their frequencies, creating unique timbres for each composition. This configuration of oscillators is instantiated four times to create a 4-voice ensemble of synths. They interpret the graphical score, reading the melody as a canon.

A canon is a polyphonic composition or technique where a melody is played in all voices but with different starting times. This means that for every canon, there is a 'main melody'.

Listening tip: the main melody is looped in all voices. Try to listen out for it. How does it start and end? Is it dissonant? Does it have wide jumps? How do the different speeds of the melody interact with each other?
