It was very difficult for me to stay at home for several months during the first wave of COVID-19 in India, especially, since I was always out working in the field, volunteering and interning at different organizations. Sitting at my home all day, I didn't have any wildlife to capture, but, I soon realized that wildlife was all around us, even at our homes! I started photographing house geckos, houseflies and even ants! I used to love itt! Macro photography was what really kept me going during those tough times.

I still have no idea how I stumbled upon this beautiful praying mantis all the way up on the sixth floor of my building! I'm grateful I did though, this was the first time I spotted a mantis here in this concrete jungle and I loved each and every minute I spent adoring, studying and photographing this beauty!
