although i did say that i stopped going on social media, what i actually mean is that i've stopped contributing to the discourse. i wasn't really one for small talk, after all, and social media is basically just a giant small-talk simulator. this is why i've re-embraced being a full-time lurker, voyeuring my way across the internet.
