This art work is part of the Eyemazing Iris, a first hand-drawn photorealistic NFT collection of its kind. It is a series of only 32 NFTs (1/1) on the Tezos chain. As an illustrator I was always fascinated by the representation of the human eye with all the sparkle and intensity of the real thing. The most mesmerizing aspect of the drawings are the colourful and luminescent irises which catch the light and appear to shine back at you. Tiny reflections of the outside world from flora and fauna to abstract art can be made out around the irises, lending depth and soul to the renderings.

The eye is traditionally seen as a mirror of the soul but it is also a kind of microscopic map of an individual's identity, since each person's is unique. Every eye tells a story...what will yours be if looked in?

Many cannot imagine life without vision and base their actions mainly on perception with this sense. As life expectancy increases, the power of sight is dwindling and diseases that threaten blindness are becoming more and more likely for everyone. This collection is also raises public awareness about blindness and vision impairment issues.
