Trained at the Beaux-Arts, it is since 1995 that Roux Fontaine Eric exhibits permanently his paintings at the Beaux-Arts of Chambéry. His paintings have been acquired for the permanent collections of the Paul Dini Museum He has had many solo exhibitions (France, USA, Belgium, Ireland) and participated in 12 prestigious group exhibitions since 2015 (such as Waltman Ortega Fine Art - Miami / USA ; Rotterdam Art fair 2003, etc.). The Museum of Natural History in Lyon and the Center of Contemporary Culture in Barcelona have both presented his work. His work has been presented in Miami, New York, Boston, Rotterdam, Paris, London and Dublin.
His work maintains a strong link between art history and contemporary issues. Several artistic encounters have marked his career, both with writers and film directors. One of his first essential meetings was with the writer Matteo Maximoff, one of the most prolific gypsy/Roma novelists with a dozen novels or with Tony Gatlif, famous French director, screenwriter, composer, actor and producer.
