Over 18 million people alive today have experienced some amount of depression. COVID amplified this mental health condition which can include so many different aspects and have real impacts on the lives, relationships, overall mental and physical health of the people who are struggling to move past it.

Depression can take on many faces and may seem like disinterest, mistrust, or even like a deliberate attempt to hurt those around the affected person. Seeing hurt and uncertainty in the faces, words and action in loved ones can often cause an ever spiraling deeper into depression.

I, XTZ Zinger, am not a mental health professional and am using my art only to bring awareness to the issues so many people are facing. I made this collection in the 9:16 format after hearing a podcast of NFT professionals saying that they had a hard time finding artworks that fit vertical screens well and it seemed to make sense for this collection.
